Gantry centres with 2-axis fork head are classic standard machines for 5-sided machining without special requirements for maximum precision. Basis are the requirements of DIN ISO 230-2 for the precision of machine tools.
Fork heads are very compact in design and enable certain machining operations from below in the A-axis.
